Sky Knowledge
The connection between the sky and the wisdom it holds, aligning with the themes of listening, understanding, and transformation.

Your sky was here before the sky—
and we called it new.
wrote it down in maps
shaped like forgetting.
Your breath seeded the trees
but we named the wind ours
and fenced its silence.
still,
it moves through bone
like water
remembering.
We touched the soil
like it was land
not kin
and wondered why
it wouldn’t hold us.
You sang time in circles
we answered
in lines
that broke the song
then blamed the echo
for not being clear.
If we knew
what listening meant
—without recording it—
maybe your stories
could sit in our lungs
without suffocating.
Maybe
not “giving voice”
but unshaping the noise
would let us
hear
the memory
still dancing
under all this
concrete.
We said:
“let us help”
you said:
“let us be.”
And both are
still
doors.
unopened.
waiting.
